Sepharad
This handwriting bears similarities to that classified as ancient Oriental N-E by Engel and Beit-Ariè. Sephardic handwriting also traces its origins back to this North African script.
Probable place of origin: Northern Africa, indicated by certain features such as the left-hand stroke of the letter 'aleph,' which descends not from the middle of the main oblique stroke but from the beginning. Moreover, the main oblique stroke is straight (in Oriental is usually curved).
Additionally, the descender of the letter 'lamed' generally does not reach the baseline.
