Colophon: Colophon of the Masorete and vocalizer: "I, Naḥman son of Shneor, the vocalizer, of blessed memory, vocalized and supplied the Masorah for this Pentateuch, the Five Scrolls, the Haftarot, and the Writings for Rabbi Samuel son of Meir, of blessed memory."
Scribal colophon:"And I, Yehiel son of the ḥaver Rabbi Isaac, of blessed memory, wrote [this manuscript] ... and completed it on Tuesday, the twenty-first day of the month of Marḥeshvan, in the year 5056 from the Creation."
Ownership
"May it be remembered for good, amen. Today, Sunday, the 2nd of September, [year] 219, I, Leon Gabriel, may his Rock preserve him, son of the late Master Uzziel, purchased this Pentateuch ... for the price of ten florins..."
"As a memorial and testimony ... today, Tuesday, the 25th of January, [year] 234, I, Abraham Raphael, may his Rock preserve him, son of the late Master Uzziel, purchased [it] from Rabbi Elijah, may his Rock preserve him, son of Master Yehiel of Tolentino, for the price of fifteen Bolognini [?], in the presence of ... Elijah, may his Rock preserve him, son of the late Master Isaac of Tolentino..."
At the beginning of the manuscript are several ownership inscriptions, including:
"We, the undersigned, testify that before us this Pentateuch and Writings were sold by Rabbi Emmanuel ... son of the late Solomon to Rabbi Joseph ... son of Mordechai ... and that he received the payment from him ... on Friday, the 11th [...] of the year 106 [?]."
Signed by:
Isaac son of Elḥanan
Eliezer son of Master Menaḥem
Pinḥas son of Ephraim the Priest
followed by the note: "And I, the undersigned Elijah ... son of Master Matzliaḥ ... acknowledge [this]."
Two further ownership notes record the inheritance of the manuscript in the year 245, although the names of the owners have been erased.
Another deed states: "We, the undersigned, testify that today, on the New Moon of the second Adar, Master Isaac son of the late Elḥanan transferred and sold this Pentateuch to Master Yehiel son of the late Elijah because of another written obligation that rested upon the aforementioned Master Isaac concerning maintenance provided by the aforementioned Master Yehiel for [...] daughter of the late Rabbi Mordechai ... in the year 217."
