Colophon: “And the work of writing the sacred work, the great and magnificent composition which the Rabbi … the honourable Rabbi Moses, son of the distinguished judge, the honourable Rabbi Maimon, of blessed memory, composed, whose name is Mishneh Torah, was completed on Friday, the tenth day of the month of Kislev, in the year 5249 from the creation of the world, here in Mantua. And I wrote it for … the honourable Rabbi Moses Halevi, may he live, son of the honourable Rabbi Saul Halevi, of blessed memory, and I received my payment from him … Thus spoke the least of the least, Isaiah, son of the honourable Rabbi Jacob, of blessed memory, of Masaran, [son of] the honourable Rabbi Isaiah, of blessed memory, of Mirandola.”

Ownership inscription (fol. 12a): “Mordecai son of Joseph ha-Kohen.”

At the end, a deed recording the sale of the manuscript. The sellers were: “Moses Levi … may he live, son of the honourable Rabbi Eliezer Levi, of blessed memory,” and “Moses Levi … son of the honourable Rabbi Joseph, of blessed memory.” The purchaser was: “the honourable Rabbi Isaiah Aluf of Masaran, son of the honourable Rabbi Judah Aluf of Masaran, of blessed memory” — the grandson of the aforementioned scribe.

The sale was authenticated by: “Eliezer, son of the honourable Rabbi Moses Halevi, may he live” — the son of the first seller mentioned above.
