Blessed is He who gives strength to the weary and greatly increases the power of the powerless. Finished, finished, finished. May the scribe suffer no harm, neither today nor ever, until a donkey climbs a ladder, as Jacob our forefather dreamed.
This book, Midrash Kokhav, was completed in the year five thousand and two hundred [i.e. 1440 CE] from the creation of the world, on the twenty-seventh day of the month of Kislev, by Moses son of Rabbi Eliezer ibn Manuel, and [completed by?] … [Shem Tov son of Rabbi Yom Tov ibn Meir?].
