“The scribe who copied this book is named Abram Lalmushani.
It was completed on the night of the ninth day of the month of Kislev, the ninth according to my reckoning.
In the year six thousand and six, according to the abbreviated reckoning, the year of Ezkor (‘I shall remember’), [as in the verse] ‘I shall remember the deeds of the Lord’ (Psalm 77:12); may He grant me life.
It was written for a man accomplished in every branch of wisdom, noble and generous towards God, my Creator.
His name, known among all the sages, is Todros, surnamed Costantini.”
