With the help and salvation of God
Let this serve as testimony that we, emissaries of Ṣefat—may it soon be rebuilt and reestablished in our days—whose names are signed below, by virtue of the mandate entrusted to us by all the congregations of the holy community of Ṣefat—may it be rebuilt—hereby attest that we have received from the holy community of Lugo—may the Lord protect it—by the hand of the notable Rabbi Naḥmiyah Ḥay, son of the esteemed late Rabbi Moshe ha-Kohen, the sum of seventy ducats as a donation. Moreover, the community of Lugo—may God protect it—has undertaken the obligation to remit each year to the community of Ṣefat seven ducats, annually. In witness to the receipt of the aforementioned sum, we have affixed our signatures here in Lugo—may the Lord protect it—on the 21st day of the month of Ṭevet, in the year 5497 (1737). The foregoing is valid and confirmed.
