This name appears in various forms: according to Mortara, it is rendered as Nagar or Nagari; according to McClintock, the family "traces its origins to the Jews who were taken into captivity after the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus and Vespasian."
It is also rendered literally as Delsinfanz or Delsfils, which represents the Hebrew surname borne by the Italian Moses, son of Judah (Identifiable with the scribe mentioned here?) corresponding to Dei Fanciulli in Italian. M. Steinschneider translates this Hebrew name as de Ragazzonibus, a name that an Italian Christian printer bore in 1495.
